Birds hit both Hudson jet engines

  US authorities have confirmed that birds collided with both engines of the US Airways flight that ditched into the river last month
  It has been confirmed that a collision with a flock of birds caused a airliner to lose power and ditch in the Hudson river just after take-off

  The pictures, released by the NY City Harbour, show the plane hitting the water and passengers sitting on its wings, awaiting rescue
